Apostle Terry Gullage, Sr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 14, 1963. He is the eighth child of twelve children born to Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Gullage, Sr. He is married to Cassandra Calhoun Gullage and is the father of two sons, Sedrick and Terry Jr. and two loving grandchildren. At the age of seven, Apostle Gullage was baptized at the Canaan Baptist Church by his grandfather, Rev. James Powell, Sr. In the early seventies, the Gullage family relocated to Avondale, Louisiana, where Apostle Gullage joined the Second St. John Baptist Church. From a tender age, Apostle Gullage exemplified a special talent in music.
Later on, his interests broadened to the piano and he began leading and preparing others for the music ministry. At the age of fifteen, God instructed Apostle Gullage to organize the Avondale Community Choir. This group traveled throughout the United States lifting up the Name of Jesus. The Avondale Community Choir has ministered and recorded with several artists. As Apostle Gullage continued to lead the Avondale Community Choir, his leadership abilities along with his gifts to write, arrange and direct music, were even more evident.
Apostle Gullage was educated in the Jefferson Parish School System and graduated from John Ehret High School. He received a scholarship in Music Arts and attended Delgado Community College and Xavier University. He also attended the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as the Hilliard Vocational Bible Institute (PEASI).
He was later elevated to the position of Minister of Music at Second St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Isaac Smith and later under the leadership of the late Rev. Vernon S. Joshua. He also served as the choir director at Ninevah Baptist church under the leadership of the late Rev. Wilker Neal and later Rev. Sam Baker.
As God continued to fashion and shape Apostle Gullage, in 1994 he humbly accepted the calling of Minister of Music at Beacon Light International Baptist Cathedral under the anointed teachings and leadership of Bishop Darryl S. Brister. He also served as the Minister of Music for the Louisiana State and Southern Berith District of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. He is currently an active member of the Association of Independent Ministries based out of Houston, Texas.
Apostle Gullage is one of God’s Chosen Vessels that is making an impact in this generation.
